Selenium acts markedly on the genito-urinary system. Any form of debility after exhausting diseases is managed with the help of this drug. The patient will have severe hoarseness and will hawk and raise transparent lumps of mucous every morning. In males, it is used to manage prostatic fluid and hydrocele dribbling. Any headache and left supraorbital pain brought on after drinking tea and solid odours or by walking in the sun can be conditioned with this particular medicine and also used in the affections of a hepatobiliary system like enlarged liver with fine rashes over the liver region. In dermatological diseases, it is used to manage seborrhoea oleosa, comedones, alopecia and acne. Sleep disorders accompanied by pulsations can also be reduced using Selenium.
